Are you licensed and insured?
Ask us directly for current license and insurance information and we will send it before any work is scheduled. You can also verify any California contractor yourself at cslb.ca.gov before signing a contract, and we encourage it.
How much do countertops cost?
It depends on material, square footage, edge profile, number of cutouts, and whether old tops need removal. We give a written quote after seeing the space, rather than a phone number that changes once we arrive.
Granite or quartz, which should I pick?
Granite is natural, heat tolerant, and every slab is different, and it likes being resealed periodically. Quartz is engineered, non-porous, and consistent, which suits busy family kitchens. We will walk through how you actually cook before recommending one.
How long does the whole thing take?
Typically a walkthrough, then slab selection, then template once cabinets and fixtures are set, then a short fabrication window, then a one day install for most kitchens. We give you the dates in writing rather than a vague window.
Do I have to be there for the template?
It helps for a few minutes so we can confirm seam placement and overhangs together, but the rest of the visit does not need you standing by.
Can you work with cabinets I already have?
Yes. Most of our work goes onto existing cabinets. If any run needs shimming, leveling, or reinforcement to carry stone, we will flag it before install day.
Will there be a seam, and where?
Most kitchens larger than one slab need at least one. Where it lands is a design decision we make with you, usually at a sink, a corner, or a natural break in the run rather than in the middle of a showpiece island.
Do you remove the old countertops?
Yes, tear-out and haul-away can be included in the quote. We protect floors and cabinets during removal and take the old material with us.
Do you do outdoor kitchens?
Yes, and material choice matters more outdoors. Some stone fades or stains in full sun, so we steer toward surfaces that hold up to Delta summers.
